Testimonials

"Dear Lumumba, Thank you so much for being my mentor for the past 14 weeks.  I now have a new respect for coaches and everything they do.  This experience has been a real eye-opener for me.  My time in this mentorship has been so valuable.  It has been a new, but fun learning experience working with you and the Lady Lightning team.  Again, I appreciate you letting me try new things with all training aspects.  My mentorship has been an experience like no other in my high school career.  Thank you for your time and patience in working with me!"
-Rachel Hamel,  US Army (Farmington HS graduate)

"Dear Lumumba, Thank you so much for being my mentor for the past three months.  I have learned so much from working with you each week at AthEnS.  I discovered what it takes to become a personal sports coach and now I am ready to work toward that goal.  Your generosity of letting me shadow you each week to see what you do has been extremely rewarding to me.  I will always remember how you let me become a part of work.  Again, I appreciate you valuing my efforts during my internship work.  My mentorship with you has been one of the most exciting experiences of my high school career and I want to thank you for it."
-Ben Kampf, Men's Track, University of Minnesota (Farmington HS graduate)

"Dear Lumumba, I want you to know how much you have contributed to the growth of our students and understanding of your profession.  On behalf of the Farmington High School Mentor Program, I would like you to know how much we appreciate the time and effort you have so generously given and the rich opportunities you have provided our students!  They have acquired considerable new knowledge, skills, and abilities during the months spent with you."
